E46 – Part 2 of 2. Mouse talks about a neighborhood sex toy party and wonders how to confront her housekeeper who keeps stealing her vibrators, while our mom guest stars in the story of Julianne’s missing ding dong. Weens goes into detail about said dildo revealing the REAL story, and explains why you shouldn’t mix Ativan, dating, and sex toy shopping. Learn about the amazing German Australian purse lifting musician, and feel good knowing that you now know way too much about Mouse and Weens. E45 – Part 1 of 2 in our marathon catch-up session. Weens met a boy and is now deep into a texting relationship. We try to figure out the meaning of each back and forth. Is he avoiding some answers? Does he have someone else in the mix? Or was he turned off by the suave texting that Weens was throwing his way? He might just be a disappearing prick, so of course we discuss this in way too much detail. See what Ohio, paw paws, karaoke, and Phish all have in common. Then we get into some bloody sexy girl talk, and hear about life on the set of the hit show The Rookie as it wrapped up filming. Part 2 to follow! MouseAndWeens.com | Facebook | Instagram | Twitter

E44 – Meet Craig Abell Champion, an amazing photographer, writer, director, multimedia and design artist, and a wonderfully kind soul. He is a friend of Julianne’s and tells us inside stories of life in the art, music, skateboard, and snowboard scene of the 90’s, sharing stories with Weens about Smashing Pumpkins and Chicago musicians, his movie Cornland, and his work with Burton snowboards. Craig’s photography and design work with Girl Skateboards speaks for itself, earning much press in the skate industry. He is also an open book when it comes to talking about mental illness and his diagnosis with bipolar disorder and mixed mania depression. Hear his description of ECT, electroconvulsive therapy, as a life saving treatment for his treatment resistant and quick cycling bipolar. This fun, creative, fascinating friend is an advocate for shedding light on mental illness and hopes that people continually talk about it and seek their optimal treatment. We love Craig’s transparency and positivity and hope you do too!

E43 – How I met your father! Mouse tells the story of how she and hubby Dave got together. It was a bumpy ride but could be made into a rom com screenplay. Our mom gives us her country line dancing romance with Cowboy Denny and we get some nuggets of love advice on Valentine’s Day. And Weens shares a hilarious story about a foolproof way that she met some guys, one of whom is still her friend who has no idea that he was part of an experiment! We also collected love stories from our podcasting friends at Deconstructing Damsels, #NoOffense, Sh*t Happens When You Party Naked, We Do Stuff, Hugo’s Posts, My Worst Date, The LitFlix Podcast, One Star Bazaar, Her American Story, and You Watch, I Listen.
Through it all, loving yourself is the greatest love of all. Apologies for the horrible karaoke.
E42 – It’s Superbowl Sunday and raining gophers in Southern California! As we catch up on mom life and work life, we realize we want to switch roles a la Freaky Friday. Weens wants the excitement of kids, and Mouse wants a vacation from all the juggling. We discuss the transition from stay at home mom to getting back into the work force, finding purpose in your job, both paid and volunteer, and how to draw the line between the giving of and charging for your time. Mouse struggles with drawing the line on social media on her phone in front of the kids too, and Weens explains simplifying her life. We get sidetracked by Bert and Ernie, Carol Channing, and then reminisce about our boobies first growing, first tampons, and our PE teacher/actor dad playing sports with us after school while rehearsing scenes. Again, another Henson sidetrack gets us talking about Sesame Street and exposure to races and nationalities growing up in predominantly white suburbs. We end hearing a very spiritual dream that Mouse had about the afterlife, a possible message from dad, and a utopian society which reminds Weens of an Albert Brooks movie and some near-death experiences she has studied. Alan Alda also pops in at the end to give sage advice. We hope you enjoy this funny but serious, light but meaningful episode!
E41 – Mom’s in town and she’s busy! We hear about how she moved from Idaho to California for a few months, a dog and cat’s awkward first date, and projects she’s working on. She shares stories about a trick roper, seeing the hand of God, and Weens pulls some cow talk out of her. Then we get into Type A Personality talk. Are you Type A like Mouse and Mom? Do they like being this way? What is it like for Weens to be around them? We have 5 steps for you to balance out your Type-A-ness if you so dare. Take a listen and join the family!
E40 – Kids and Piano: we discuss how to deal with kids who want to quit activities. In Joelle’s case, two of her three kids want to stop taking piano lessons. We interview their music teacher, guitarist and pianist Zo Shah, for his insight and advice for parents. Hear about our musical background and advice from friends, and how to properly pronounce ukulele! We also chat about the Netflix show Tidying Up With Marie Kondo, donating dresses to Cinderella’s Attic, the Myers-Briggs personality test, strange sensory seeking behaviors, and whether Weens should throw her own self wedding!

E39 – Our holiday catch-up includes Idaho, Cowboy Denny, sledding, sleighs, elk and party stories. We also get into the LA scene, and the difference between there and the San Diego suburbs. By the way, we are making Weens’ New Year’s Resolution to promote herself! On the horizon are February events with the Bad At Love Podcast co-host Tamu, and another event by our podcast pals atMy Worst Date podcast. Speaking of worst dates, hear Mouse’s near-pee experience with a cute surfer boy, and Weens’ night with a lab coat wearing bone scientist. We move into the car as we go on a San Diego tour and chat with our friend, Bachata Jen. She gives us the skinny on the New York dating scene, both with online guys and with movers, and has some great bad date stories and relationship perspectives.
E38 – Flamenco is back with a fruit-laden poem for Weens! This time, we sit the poetic musician down to explain himself and we find him rather endearing. We also hear the details of the three different Adam Sandler experiences Weens had and why he is her love barometer. There is some zoo, condor, and monarch butterfly talk, and even some lovely karaoke sprinkled in. Join us in this fun episode and please write in with your favorite duet costume couple idea! Please be sure to subscribe anywhere you listen to podcasts. Promo: Boobies and Noobies podcast. Song credit: David Holguin
E37 – What do mice in the night, chore shirking sorority girls, schizophrenic lesbians, droopy Hungarians, and sweater thieves all have in common? They were our roommates! Weens confronts Joelle with her passive aggressive outbursts, and we talk about our parents fighting and their divorce. Weens sets her sights on woodchoppers and guys who keep their cars moderately clean, and ball talk reminds Mouse of her possum prune story.
