Roommates

E37 – What do mice in the night, chore shirking sorority girls, schizophrenic lesbians, droopy Hungarians, and sweater thieves all have in common? They were our roommates! Weens confronts Joelle with her passive aggressive outbursts, and we talk about our parents fighting and their divorce. Weens sets her sights on woodchoppers and guys who keep their cars moderately clean, and ball talk reminds Mouse of her possum prune story. Thank you to all of our friends who listen and we hope that you spread the word about our podcast. Mole, Mule, Mole, Mule

E27 – Mouse explains her family’s Jewish side – the non bar mitzvah birthday campout and the non bris bris. Is 13 a man? Technology, coddling, and helicopter parenting might be to blame. Free range parenting is getting pushback in Mouse’s community probably because of the past small town murders. We talk crime and burglaries, and Weens tells her stolen bike story, ending with a flurry of 80s George confusion!  We remember a family camping trip and get into why men on our dad’s side are solitary – artsy Grizzly Adams or anxiety? Weens tells another hilarious work story, we do some car talk, and get into shame cleaning. Mouse knows new moms are notorious for this! Mouse is balancing her mini midlife crisis needing to go out and party, with working in the school garden, and we give props to all the teachers out there taking care of our kids. Please tell your friends about us. We would love some word of mouth support! www.MouseAndWeens.com

Platonic Friends, Good Cop Bad Cop, Ball Questions, and Bachata

E24 – There is a heat wave and it hit 116 degrees in Burbank and thunderstorms in arid San Diego. Is global warming really a hoax? Weens tells a story of her lost cat out in the Joshua Tree desert and mom’s Lawrence of Arabia search with her friend Blake. We discuss whether or not men and women can truly be platonic friends. Weens says yes, once any relationship or flirting is out of the system, which backs up Mouse’s hypothesis that the scales of attraction are always tipped one way or another at some point. What do you think? We then get into inside joke talk and you’ll hear about “All Red” and “Popcorn Balls”. It’s so hard to describe what makes an inside joke funny. Speaking of balls, we have many ball questions – How do they sit? For a visual, Mouse suggests the first episode of the Sarah Silverman show “I Love You, America”, complete with nudists and full frontal, breaking down the barriers of our hangup with bodies. Do guys adjust balls or penis? Which filmmaker explained to Weens and a famous puppeteer what bat wings are? Naturally, testicle Q and A transitions into parenting and who between Mouse and her husband is the rule enforcer during the long summer. One is the good cop, and one is the bad cop. We talk about the Mr. Rogers documentary movie “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?”. Weens gives her review, talks about the rare scene she witnessed in the movie theater, and we get into the lessons learned. Lastly, Weens interviews her childhood friend Jennifer who is visiting her in LA. Jen gets onto the subject of her favorite latin dance from the Dominican Republic, the Bachata, and we learn what it means with its moves, lyrics, and style, even “hearing” it danced! We hope you enjoy! Please consider supporting by buying us a coffee at ko-fi.com/mouseandweens

CoolSculpting, Yanni Visits Weens

E23 – This one is a favorite! We’re back with some life updates and mustache talk. Weens describes her new gig on the set of the LA tv show The Rookie and her Fishbone concert, and Mouse talks about her family vacation in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. Warning: if you’re squeamish about pool attack iguanas or ticks, skip this part. Mouse gets CoolSculpting done on her belly and gets into her feelings on body image, curves, self care, diet and exercise. Hear the whole description of how this fat tummy blasting works and visit our Facebook Group Mouse and Weens to see the behind the scenes stomach at the medical spa. Write in with your self care thoughts! Yanni pops up to add to our conversation about car washes, massage, saxophone vs pan flute, and Kenny G. And the sisters reminisce about roller skating, the 80’s, boys with feathered hair, Steve Perry, white jeans, Ralph Macchio, Bruce Willis, and Mouse’s celebrity sighting of the hot Karate Kid villain William Zabka in the eighties. Don’t miss this episode. It will tickle your upper upper lip!

Interview: Angelo Moore of Fishbone Dr Madd Vibe and Brand New Step

E22 – Weens has dinner with her friend Angelo Moore the lead singer and musician best known for his band Fishbone. You will hear one of LA’s most creative talented and funky men discuss his thoughts on the world today. He talks about how he got into the spirit of David Bowie on tour, and we hear from his stylist Michele Harper on costuming. Dr. Madd Vibe gives his feelings on racism, politics, but mostly gets down and dirty with his corned beef! Hear all of his upcoming musical projects and tours with Brand New Step, Fishbone, Dr. Madd Vibe and the Missin Links, and the Celebrating David Bowie world tour. This is one of music’s great original artists! Don’t miss it. Song credits: Weens and Angelo Moore. Used with permission.

Are Millennials Into Cougars or Just Open Minded?

E16 – This is a fun one, digging in to Weens dating life and pondering the May-December romance phenomenon she keeps seeing as we hear clips of Tyrese, a young PA who asked her out. In between, we share nude beach stories, discuss female anatomy, and lightly cover marriage and divorce. Then we hear some behind the scenes stories of Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag, and give our thoughts on 15 minutes of fame and the Kardashians. Weens explains to Mouse how movie negotiations start off and which comes first, the actor or the money. Music outro credits “Jam With My Butter” by Weens

Fluffy Humps

E12 – Birthday parties, the work-life balance, and Weens having kids. Find out what boobs and Young Frankenstein have in common, and hear the sisters’ epic snowboarding and shark stories. Fear talk, self-analysis, and a nice list of self-help books balance out the online dating talk! www.MouseAndWeens.com

Parenting Fears, Phone Sex, Car Accidents, and Wrap Parties

E11 – We discuss parenting fears with kids and sports, video games and the internet. Weens tells her babysitting, phone sex, and car accident stories. John Philip Sousa scoots by with his French horn on a skateboard. Why do girls need guys approval and the curse of being people pleasers. We segue into rollercoasters, pet guilt, hating crating, and animal rescue. Mouse got a kitten! Weens talks about the TV show wrap party, Vegas gambling, hitting the stage, and facing her fears! www.MouseAndWeens.com

Weens on the Move, Mouse in the House

E10 – Mouse talks sock poops, living in the bubble, and other podcasts. Weens dishes on past Trump run-in, news, and relationship ghosting versus closure. The sisters talk through their dad’s death, dreams, visitations, mediums, and near-death experiences, of course all peppered with some farts and an old lady yelling BM! Find us on social media to see our hot abs. Outro music “Free Love” by Weens.
