Mom Talks With Her Carter Brothers

E138 – Please enjoy this walk down memory lane between siblings, as mom Joyce Carter and her big brothers Randy and Bill Carter reminisce about summers in Texas, growing up on snowy Mount Shasta, and their teen years in the hot desert of Tucson. Family history and whether we have a Native American ancestor is discussed. And grandpa’s time in WWII and its aftermath is talked about. Hear who got in trouble for cutting down a cherry tree limb with a hatchet!

This episode was actually recorded a year+ ago and was so family-centric that we decided to just distribute it between the Carters and kin. But now we have a more pressing reason to put this out in the public – our sweet mom is no longer with us. We hope this sweet conversation will help friends, family, and fans learn more about mom and her family and remember her in the cheerful loving light that she always put out into the world.

Easter Dog, Feckit, Paul Williams, and Microaggressions

E110 – Easter afternoon we took the podcast for a walk on the dog trail. Are you into Jesus?! We talk traditions in our house, and the hunt for the golden egg brings up the trophy-for-all discussion. Hear Juls’ hot take on overconfident kids and practical parenting. We’re interrupted by dog fight drama, but Weens quickly channels her Cesar Milan-style advice. We discuss the changing dynamic of our sisterhood and how the little sis is now teaching the big sis. This ties into Joelle’s new favorite idea: The Feck It Fifties complete with a Feckit List, because life is short, who cares what people think, and family is important! In an Ishtar segue, we talk about songwriter, actor, Grammy winner Paul Williams and what happened when Mom and Julianne stayed at his house! We get into Weens’ sociology and psychology studies and learn about microaggressions, schemas, and body language to quickly size a person up. Hot example is Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s paparazzi scuffle back in the day, so of course Joelle paid attention! This also reminds us of the 4-part Showtime series “Love Fraud” about a real hunt for a dirt bag narcissist. Talk about microaggressions! Enjoy an awkward double hello with neighbors in a very “Curb Your Enthusiasm” tinkle moment, and be sure to follow and subscribe everywhere you can find our podcast! Interview: Andrew Piccone

E35 – Our good friend from high school, Andrew Piccone, came by with lots of insight about the Eggold sisters. He owns Wander Mouse Films, shooting projects for Snoop Dogg, Disney, Shepard Fairey and MC5. We all reminisce about growing up in suburbia, our old film projects, and the crap we used to get into, and then dissect our guy-girl friend relationship. Weens gets mad at us for leaving her out but he and Weens hang out now, going to movies like Bodied, the battle rap movie produced by Eminem. We land on weed talk, movie ideas while high, and pot paranoia. Weens tells a cringeworthy butt-dial story, and we get into November birthdays, Scorpios, and love lives. We had so much fun with Andrew, our Joseph Fiennes lookalike. This one is a loller! Amazing beautiful song credit: “Little Bird” by Julianne Eggold.

Celebrity stalking, defining Barker, foot pit hate

Ep5 – Weens confesses to stealing Mouse’s stuff. We discuss odd celebrity crushes, stalking 90’s celebrities, life dreams, foot anti-fetishes, pheromones, body parts, the real definition of a barker, David Bowie and his musicians, and more fun stuff!
